Recently I received a video ("WOW Video) from my what appeared to be my nephew. A little odd in that he's not at all techy but he did just have a baby so I clicked on the link. Nothing happened, At least video wise. BUT, i havenow had the same "WOW Video" link appear on my Facebook Wall from 21 folks on my "Friends" List.

A long story shorter, I now have no functioning anti virus and all attempts to access anything antiviurs directs me to a screen say "Opps.. " and saying to go to another URL.

Yup. I've been hijacked.

I ran Avast in Safe Mode. It did find a virus that was deleted but nothing has changed.

I need your advice. Please.

Download and run malwarebytes free version from here and install and run it. Be sure all updates are done before running. http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Download this http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html and run it. Then paste it here to analyze. http://hijackthis.de/
Delete any entries that are associated with Wow.

I already use all of these and have for quite some time. My trouble came when none of these were accessible and nothing could be updated due to the "bug" I'd acquired. No matter what I tried to access, I was redirected to another page.

The problem has since been resolved.
