Well, they've come up with another version of Stargate for us SciFi fans. Calling it Stargate: Universe. To start October 2nd.

Looked to me like a mix of Voyageur/Galactica/Stargate. I agree with you Lesley, hoping they don't screw it up by trying some new combination so as to get viewers from all three of the series.

i watched it last night...I think it will be an excellent show. They need a little more character development and if they want to give it a bsg feel they should set a slightly faster pace...Otherwise good show...I'll keep watching..

So far so good. Definitely a much darker show than the previous iterations. I didn't think I'd like Rush but I do now. Interesting character.

I enjoyed it , I liked the idea of the game player gives us nerds a hope for the future

didnt like the pilot too much, it lacked alot of the elements that made SG-1 & atlantis pilots enjoyable... the 3rs ep (last night's) was much much better.

this gives me 3 hours of tv to watch each week, Defying Gravity (until it ends its run), Sanctuary season2, and SGU.

i watched 2nd show...i think they need to move the pace a bit more..i mean...a whole show about getting o2 ...yawn

I have never been a stargate fan other than the original movie, but i was watching this last night and I actually enjoyed it.

Having missed the first 2 of the three hours though i was slightly confused as to why lou diamond phillips was switching places with that other guy.

anyway, it seemed like it had a few siumilarities to BSG (my favourite sci fi show BTW)

The guy who was from trainspotting had similarities to baltar, and the preist saying "he has a plan" was veery similar.

I will DL the first 2 hours and watch the first episode and see if i want to keep going with it

I am enjoying it , not enough Sci Fi in it for me yet.

I like new aliens and planets but the real human interaction is good.
