Hi there,
In my Temp>Temporary Internet Files>Content.IE> three folders each with two entries: Click2, UKUDAAMU .... the names go on and on and are different but start with 'Click2,...'
I've tried but cannot get them deleted. My actions were downloaded and ran: Malware, Avira AntiVir and, performed online system scan with BitDefender.
These guys are still sitting on my comp and would not let me delete. Can you please help me to remove? What's the danger?
Thanks much,
Chips

Have you tried booting into safe mode? You are safe to delete anything sitting in the Temp folder or Temporary Internet Files folder.

Download and run Ccleaner. (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/) It will clean everything.

Old reliable safe mode ususally allows files to be deleted.

I was away and am now returning.
a) I have not booted in Safe Mode but will try
b) Yes I know to delete from these temp folders but they would not even allow a delete on these Click2 files.
c) Will also dl Cleaner and come back with a follow-up.
Thanks,
Chips

Actions performed:
a) dl and ran Ccleaner ..... woah - 124MB space harnessed - but it DID NOT delete the Click2 files
b) Started comp in Safe Mode
c) Tried to delete folder above with Click2 .... would not allow delete ... just shows: 'Open', and 'Send to'
d) Scanned with Malware - no detection
e) Comp is back in normal mode
Results:
These Click2 files are still on my system, along with 'hyperdata_.." folders - all in the Temp files
Thanks

any help for me with this one? I would really appreciate your assistance as I cannot get rid of any of these folders - and, my comp is soooo slow.
In the Temp folder I have: (i) Perflib_Perdata_64C (ii) Perflib_Perdata_734
In the three sub folders in Content.IE5 are two each of the Click2,...

Boot to a Live Linux disc. Delete anything you want in the Windows folder.
Live Disc- PCLinux http://www.pclinuxos.com/index.php?option=com_ionfiles&Itemid=28
There are lots of other Live Linux discs you might try.

When you click one of the links it will download an iso file. When the download is finished open your CD burning software, put a blank CD in the drive and select from the menu of your burning software "burn and image file" or something like that. When complete leave the disk in the drive and reboot.
You will then be running a linux system from the CD. The Live linux system can open your Windows hard drive and delete any file you find.

Well, its' been a while and I did nothing! But, last night before signing off I cleared cookies and temp folder (my ritual) and lo and behold the Content.IE folder was not there. Therefore no Click2 files. I hope this is an honest disappearance and not just gone into 'hidden' !!
Thanks for your suggestions,
Chips
