Hey guys,
Now this may be odd to some of you, but I want to tell you about which radio stations do you guys listen to. For me, I've listened to a few - but although I don't listen to some stations that promotes some form of heavy rock (i don't mind it though).
Anyways here are my favourite radio stations:
98.1 CHFI
96.3/103.1 Classical FM (during school sessions)
680 News
CP24 Radio 1050
97.3 EZ-Rock (haven't listened to it in a while)
Newstalk 1010 CFRB
When I left for Europe back in May, 92.5 Jack FM was quite popular. After I came home - I was unaware that Jack turned KISS. I used to listen to KISS 92.5 FM back in my elementary school days, but I'm currently "limited" to CHFI.
Back in the days, "Lovers and other strangers" used to be broadcasted on the radio - now it's limited to a podcast. If I had an iPod Touch, then I could download podcasts from that site into my iPod (even though I don't need to hassle with turning on my desktop/laptop to download the podcasts).
I wonder if the iPod touch supports downloading podcasts from the internet - without the need of a desktop computer....however, I'm limited with my iPod Classic (5th generation version) that I've owned for 2 years.
Anyways, what are your favourite radio stations that you listen to all the time/often?

97.7 HTZ FM (http://www.htzfm.com/) Always set to this station.
or if I'm in range
Y108 (http://www.y108.ca/)
Both are better than any Toronto ones. They dont repeat anything over n over like some stations. Y108 is Hamilton and HTZ fm is in St. Catherines.

I was sad to see JACK-FM in Toronto nixed in favour of whatever crap they have on there now.
That was about the only station I listened to in the car (other than 680 News).
At home, I don't listen to commercial radio at all. I just hit the Rogers PVR box, select one of the "Galaxy" stations of whatever genre of music I want to listen to, and have it play in the background. No commercials :)

On the road:
CBC2 (but not their "drive" times)
WNED (if the signal isn't too piss-poor)
Q-107 (Kim Mitchell only, can't suffer the commercials otherwise)
CJRT (as a fall-back)
See a trend developing? I hate commercials.
At home: (all fed through my stereo)
www.cbc.ca/radio2 - 5 time-zones to choose from (but not their "drive" times)
Classical pod-casts on the computer (about 5 PBS/NPR stations in total)
www.q107.com (John Derringer AM, Kim Mitchell PM)
www.181.fm - "The Eagle" stream mainly (also pod-cast)
If all else fails, Iceberg, Classical stations. :hst:

Q107 is the only commercial station I normally listen to. I have satellite radio for the next 3 months, and there are a couple of classic rock stations and a blues station I listen to. This of course is limited to the car.

Terry Johnston is a good man. Supports the Canadian Cancer Society at many events, including Master of Ceremonies at the Oshawa Relay For Life. :rty:
Had the pleasure of working with him a few years ago. :)

Well here in Fredericton NB area its KHJ 1260 AM or their alternate FM 105.3
On Sunday mornings when they have their talk show on I listen to XL 96.5 FM out of Moncton NB on the PC.
Both stations play "Today's Country" music & quite a few east coast country artists

It used to be JACK-FM and 680 News.
Now, it's just 680 or it's off. No one else can replace JACK.
When I'm on the computer, I do go to http://www.jackfm.com/ and stream their station from Vancouver.

Rarely listen to radio, but when travelling in and out of Toronto I wouldn't do it without 680News.
Going any long distance then CBC Radio as the talk shows are usually very good and really helps make the trip seem shorter.
Around town it varies on my mood:
Rock95 (Barrie)
106.7 -KICX
104.5 CHUM (miss the old 1050 CHUM)
or whatever I surf the stations and come across. If I want music it becomes hit and miss or switch to one of my favourite CDs loaded into my 550 Watt, 9 speaker with subwoofer radio and see if there any loose bolts or shake and vibrate the dirt off the truck :)

CBC 1 & 2
91.1 Jazz fm
Classical 96.3 fm
I will listen to the FAN 590 for the Basketball and Baseball games and AM640 for Leaf games when I need a laugh.
I also listen to CIUT 89.5 and CKLN when I get the chance but I seem to have a problem getting a reliable signal since I moved to south Scarborough.

Mix 106 106.5 Owen Sound, Ontario
The Beach 95.5 Kincardine, Ontario
CKFM 99,9 fm Great music -gone
CHAY 93.1 fm Great music - changed 10 years ago it seems
CFRB 1010 am Gordon Sinclair / Betty Kennedy days -gone new format sucks.
CFRA 580 am Ottawa Micheal Harris live still good talk radio segment at least he does research first of the people he interviews. thats refreshing.
nothing much good to listen too so deafness by age will no longer worry me.
The same thing kills all good radio today over paid people thus too much advertising applied; CFRB is best example of this; now they are trying to reinvent the wheel with poor marketing research instead of finding listeners that turned off and asking them why they turned off and fixing it.
The fountain of youth may not be so good to drink from when all that familiar is gone.

104.5 Chum
98.5 The Jewel
AM 740
AM 610

Never found the Jewel on that frequency but 88.5 is where I hear it.
Q97 London area or 101.3 Tillsonburg, 103.3 the Moose -Parry Sound.
Several others as well as I enter the local areas.
I don't care for Satellite as I find it is basically a Cd that is looped for several hours in the gendre for that channel. Too much repetition for my tast. The other thing is no local news/road conditions so you might as well use the Cd player that your car is equipped with for free instead of paying for the music again.

Q107 and 94.9
On December 26, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. 97.3 re-branded itself as Boom 97.3, Toronto's Greatest Hits. The time period of the music on the current playlist is roughly music released between 1964 and 1999 with a core focus on music released in the 1980s.
They are playing a lot of tunes I haven't heard in ages. I like it.

I used to listen to Jack FM 92.5 until they moved to KISS 92.5 :(
Now I listen to 94.9fm and 95.3fm... Sometimes I stream Jack FM from Vancouver whenever I remember that I can do this.
I only recently discovered that 97.3fm has changed it's music format... So far, I like the newer 97.3fm.
buh bye 92.5 Jack FM :(

I wish they would bring back a station for us Neal. Only the real stuff will do though, not the gummy Blondie crap :)
