Sadly likely nearly all ea racing games of late it total and complete crap.
Looks nice but that's where it ends.
Games controls are still like that of a rc car rather then a car.
And like all ea games its been put out before its done and then patched like crazy later.
Ill wait for Forza 3.
There hasnt been a good need for speed game since High Stakes.
Though I thought that Most wanted and Undercover were "ok"

This is the poorest out of EA so far. I have a G25 wheel and feel like I'm driving on ice. I wanted to like it but I can't. It is absolutely the worst racing game I've tried so far.

Up side is i played wolfenstein.
As always id waited tell it was done and then out it out.
Well not cutting edge it stays true to the stuff that made return to castle wolfenstein great.

Well this is a novel approach to a racing game.
It seems the more you mode your car for control the more it drives like its on ice skates.
The only good EA games it seems are the ones it contracts out and doesn't actually make.

I can tell you I for one I enjoy this game. I find it plays allot like Grand Turismo and not so much like an arcade version of a racing game.
I'm at level 14/50 right now. I'll admit it was a challenge at the begining but now at tier 2 level car (BMW M3 E92) with 3/4 fully upgrade drifts nicely through the corners. I like rear wheel drive cars better.
My driving gameplay options are:
AI Control:Normal
Handling Model:Normal
Steering Assist:Off
Braking Assist:Off
Traction Control:High
Stability Control:On
Damage Effects:Visual Only
Gears: Automatic
I'm playing with the PS3 controller. I use the joysticks for gas and break instead of using buttons.
The view I find helps allot also, I use bumper veiw were I dont see my car exepted the speedometer. I find I can predict what my car is going to do better.
I've tried playing in the quick dyno a bit but I find my car handles nicely with just upgrades.
My Miata I had in teir 1 feels like driving on ice. As soon as I finished teir 1 I baught a new vehicle.
I've tried it on hard and I cant keep up. On normal it gets pretty tight sometimes. Exciting
I've managed to get all stars in teir 1 and starting to get them in teir 2. I dont move to the nest race until I get all stars.
I'm playing it right now. :)

One more thing I also like is when you upgrade your exchaust to racing exchaust it sounds awsome when breaking and down gearing. Sounds real.
Do you have the green arrows helping you fallow the course? I have mine on so it will help me with new tracks and tell me to slow down. If the arrows are green means you have good speed just corner properly. If its yellow or red than you slow down until it turns green again. You get points in career mode (to get stars) if you fallow the arrows to a "T". Keep it under the middle of your car. In bumper mode between the speedo and rmp gage.

I'm at level 20/50 with 78 Wins and 31 Losses. Almost finished Tear 2. 133,463 Profile Points.
Edit:I also have 240 Stars.
When you "Buy Works" for $250,000 as your final upgrade the car handles great.
