Internet Connecton Sharing

I have just helped a lady out by loading Windows 98 back on her old computer.Inside the Computer Properties/Device Manager the "internet connecton sharing" has an explantaion mark beside it in yellow..like this...! I am not sure if she needs this or what it does but I have tried to find new drivers for it and still it is highlighted everytime I open the computer properties.Can I just remove this from the computer to get rid of the highlighted portion.Thanks for all your imput.

that is found in network which is found in control panel.
its use is to allow another computer use the same connection in a networking
situation. if this is the only computer on the connection it is not needed.

clarification: if it is not needed it should be removed from network
configuration tab found in control panel
