I found in my documents and settings two folders I didnt create
1 is called cnvb and another nbv inside these folders are cookies which read: locator.metadata.windowsmedia.com/serviceswitching in one and the other
locator.metadata.windowsmedia.com/serviceswitching.

What is service switching and how did these two folders get created. They dont show up in the windows log in screen.

Thanks

These files are WMP spyware.

Open Windows Media Player
GoTo Tools->Options->Privacy
Uncheck "Send unique Player ID to ..."

I unchecked all boxes on this page except "Set clock ..."

Is this also going to delete cookies like that ones that give me access to The Computer Mechanics without entering a password etc.?

yes you will need to re-type passwords to web sites like gmail and TCM

It doesn't have to remove ALL cookies... you can go into the Options and in the Cookie tab you can tell it not to delete whatever cookies you want to keep ;)
Or if you don't want it to touch any cookies, just uncheck it on the main page... but I don't recommend that.

Wowzers! I ran the issues thing, and boy do I have issues. If I dump those things (issues) that are related to programs how will that affect them? Now I am scared to run this program in case I lose other stuff.

Issues is a fixer, not a deleter.

You have to go through those one by one and see what they referance to... most are usually old registry keys left behind by uninstalled programs.
You are prompted to back up the registry befor if fixes anything, so you can always restore them if you make a mistake.

If unsure, just ignor "Issues" section of CCleaner... and just run the main cleaner ;)

Thanks so if i have this information correct. I can delete them run ccleaner and I am Wma spyware clean. The issue, about the issues, is that other programs which may need the cookies will be asking for passwards etc. or may stop functioning. Ok then i go to WMP and uncheck permissions.

Thanks I am a happy guy :tti:
