Does anyone know if the iPod nano can be used with all of the regular iPod accessories?

Probably depends on the accessory, but I know there are versions of things like the iTrip made for different models such as the mini.

The only iPod accessories that can be used with the Nano are ones that connect to the DOCKING PORT (botton of the Nano used to charge/update it)

BTW: There is no difference between the iTrip for the regular iPod and the one for the minis except the size. Apple just wants to make people spend more money. Any iTrip can be used with any 3rd generation, 4th generation or mini iPod.

well you only need to buy one iTrip, so there isn't more money to be made, as well it's not Apple who makes them, Griffin does. I have the iTrip for ipod, and I wouldn't recommend it for a mini it'd be big and bulky on it. Better buy the proper one.

Any accessory that needs the 9 pin remote control jack will go on the bottom (like iTrip) and is due out before the holidays. http://playlistmag.com/news/2005/09/20/nanocoming/index.php

Other ones can just use the headphone jack as usual.

Thanks for the replies.

So, it sounds like the Nano doesn't have the remote control port. I think that I'm going to wait to buy one then until after Christmas. Hopefully, they'll have the accessories figured out.
