Sounds like they found it early. I wish him the best and hope he gets well soon. He's a great hard rock vocalist.

Used to play some of the Dio/Sabbath stuff years ago. I'm a bass player too.

Sweet. The new bar here in town just started doing open band nights.
Bass player is from Bobnoxious etc.
Main band is called Sheperd's Pie.

I saw him many years ago when he was lead singer with Rainbow (Ritchie Blackmore's band after he left Deep Purple).

He was awesome. For such a short guy, he sure had a hell of a powerful voice.

Both him & Brian Vollmer had powerfull vocals.
Never heard Dio live but Vollmer didn't need a PA system.

Voller was the singer for Helix (if memory serves) right?

Sorry, Vollmer. Yes he was & still is.
They are touring right now with the original lineup.
