Hi, I just got a new SATA Barracuda 8 250gb (ST3250823AS)and I have it on an Abit NF7-S rev2. Anyways, I ran the seagate utillity and formatted the drive an everything.

So then I pop in the win xp, I go to 'enter' to install and then it says setup did not find a hard disk installed.

I'm guessing this is an issue because of the SATA not being detected properly?

Also, I'm not running an original Abit bios but a modded one suited for OCing, I'll try to flash it back to an original one and see if that helps.

Any input would be great, thanks.

You will need the driver disk that came with the mother board in order to install on a s-ata drive, when you first start the installation it will ask if you want to install raid drivers (something like that) press f 6. then it will ask for the floppy a little later on, then you should be good to go. Also probably no reason to flash to an abit bios
