I've been using 'Ultimate Windows Tweaker' ever since I got Win7 mostly to get rid of the desktop shortcut arrows, it has other tweaks as well you may want to check out .. sort of like Tweak UI for 7.
Freeware :)

Some great tweaks in there and especially the arrows disabling. I always put my most used items in taskbar, cause it was a real eyesore. Now with this tweak I will start using the desktop to store all my shortcuts.
I don't show my desktop icons and auto hide the task bar, I use Rocket Dock (http://rocketdock.com/) instead, customizable and your wallpaper is clutter free. Works with •Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and is free.
Heh Zax -- it was looking good and I was just about to give it a try when the download site warned that it does NOT support any 64 bit systems.

I forgot about that when I posted., I remember seeing that when I downloaded it, both my OS's are 32 bit so I didn't give it a second thought.
