Im using windows xp and awhile ago I thought I was protecting a specific folder on my hd with a password...But all i did was make it so that i have to type in my password every time i start up windows.. and now i'd like to remove it.
does anyone know how? thanx ! ! ! !

If you download this you can not only eliminate the password but bypass the sign on all together, TweakUi powertoy for windows XP

Alternately, goto control pannel, user accounts, click "change an account" and change there. Remember, you should be signed on under the account that you want to change.

What do you mean about bypassing the sign in? Im not sure..do you mean the welcome screen????
