Ok great Bogie , Let me ask you where does this link below take you ?
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=record+streaming+audio&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&fp=37cc007d907fcf6c
For me I'm at the google dot ca home search page , what about you if you don't mind trying it , not to worry there no bugs with that link .
From what I gather any link with the dot com it wouldn't take you where the link is originally suppose to go but rather just to the dot ca page , which I find stupid to be .

In IE8 it takes me to the .com result:
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=record+streaming+audio&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&fp=37cc007d907fcf6c
In FireFox and Google Chrome it takes me to the .ca version of the search on the .com:
http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&q=record+streaming+audio&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&fp=1&cad=b

Something very odd is going on . I have 3 computers , one has xp , another one has vista and this one i am using now has windows 7 , there not tied to any network . The Vista just was put on ( clean install ) . When I use IE8 to those links ? The first one that you say take you to dot com ? For me it take me to dot ca search page , and this is on all there computers . the last one there take me to some remax dot ca . I know my computers are clean , have done different spyware scans and all come back clean , very odd ...
Thanks Bogie for assisting .

LOL, that was my fault on the .ca link ... I was just working on a Re/Max education website and I don't know how that link was redirected to that site - but my fault.
Try again, I just fixed the post.

You just solved for me . I now can get dot com ... I guess because I have google as my home page from dot ca that was the reason why it always came as dot ca but now I get everything dot com from your advise , thanks
