Hotmail Account to be Closed?

Did anyone else get an email with this Subject?
CONFIRM YOUR HOTMAIL ACCOUNT TO AVOID BEING CLOSED!!!
I assume its junk, can you confirm?

Asking for confirmation ... damn right it is junk just phishing for your access.

If something like this bothers you then login properly to your account (not through an email link) and if it was true there would be a message stating so from Hotmail in your account.

I don't use hotmail.
But I would ignore that.

Go read the terms and conditions for hotmail. Last time I read them it stated that your hotmail account would be deleted after 3 months of no activity. Activity in this case is just logging in. The email is fake because it serves ZERO purpose. In order to know you have a warning email you need to log in (either on the website or with MSN messenger or MSN Live) but once you log in you have account activity and another 3 months so unless you check your email less then 4 times a year you can know for certain that all warning messages are fake.

Hotmail is my secondary account but I use it at least once per week. The email has been deleted. Thanks all.
