I bought the OEM Windows 7 package today. Before I attempt to install it, I was wondering if I could save myself some trouble...
My HD with XP is split into 3 partitions. Do I have to wipe and re-partition the entire drive (i.e. do a clean install), OR can I just wipe the main partition/install Win7 over the XP and not have to go through the headache of erasing and re-establishing those other two?
Or is this a non-issue. i.e. Win 7 will keep all my settings, files, compatible programs and just install over XP.
