Anyone in Steeles and Martingrove having problems with their internet coming on and going off during today? I called rogers but they said they can see the modem is not online and they will send someone Wednesday. I took out the router and it's the same. The "send"light on the moden blinking. I reconnect the routed ... no luck.

Ok, I guess it's only me. Did anyone have issues with that type of modem going on/offline occassionally?

Is it a motorola modem? if so then Yes its happened to me, but only very breifly more like a few second reset. Im in the Royal York & Evan's Area (Near Islington and Close to lakeshore). Originally i would of blamed the router, But if they said that its offline then i guess its the modem or perhaps you hit the standby button? (Its happened to me The first time i accedentally hit it and went nuts trying to figure out what happened)

They said it was offline, it's working ok now for two days without cutting off. I've canceled the tech because once it working, I pretty sure he will be unable to diagnosed the fault. Thanks for your replies
P.S it is a moto modem

I revive this thread hoping for a solution/answer. I will lose the connection periodically sometimes twice a day. Sometimes it will run okay for two days, there is no pattern. If I unplug the router and modem and plug the modem first, then the router it would not come back on BUT if when it comes off and I take off the rogers coax highspeed cable only and reattach, the connection comes back immediately. What does this tell me ? Only when I take out the cable off the modem and reattach the connection comes back right away.

Have you tried just your modem ( without the router) and see if it still disconnects?

No but I did plug the modem in first to get it to cycle (the power on router off) but the modem lights would not stay steady.
