Hi
My attempts to re-install Windows M.E. ended with a hung system, so I had to re-boot. Now if I try again, I get the following message

setup cannot continue because it has detected that versions of certain installation files are already being used by currently running programs or drivers. If I click okay to this message, I get a suwin error msg,
suwin has caused an error in nusuwin.dll

I cannot find what setup files are in use.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Joe

I have tried doing a restore but system can't go back far enough.
I have also tried installing from ms-dos mode and from safe mode

Questions:

1. You state MS-DOS mode - from within Windows or from boot?

2. Have you tried using a boot disk and installing from there after booting to CDROM support?

3. If above fails, try this:

From DOS, copy all files from CD to a new folder on your hard drive and run the install from the hard drive instead of the CD.
