I subscribe to all my threads because it usually takes me a long time to fix all my computer problems. I went to check my subscribed threads today to fix an old computer problem I've been struggling with for months now...and ALL of the threads that I made in 2011 have disappeared. I also clicked on my name and searched for all my posts thinking maybe they were unsubscribed somehow..but that wasnt the case...All the posts and threads I made in 2011 have vanished.

Can someone let me know whats going on? Those posts/threads were extremely valuable to me and I wont be able to fix my computer without them.

thanx for helping me out

We had a malfunction beyond anyone's control.

We lost just about a year. Sorry...they're gone for good.

Anything that valuable to you personally should be saved and/or printed, luckily you're able to ask the questions again.

I dont remember all the questions :/ It's pretty unreasonable to think that far ahead where I'm printing out incomplete computer forum help threads. I've been here a long time..since 99 or something like that. And I can remember 2 other times where the entire forum was deleted. it just seems kind of ironic to be on like 20 other forums that haven't ever had 1 deletion type of problem...but the one where computer geniuses are in control is the one that keeps having problems where you lose some posts/the entire forum? lol. I'm not being ungrateful either...I respect peoples help here so much thats why i use the world valuable...To me its a loss..I learn a ton of things about computers from this forum and I often look through my subscribed threads just to rehash old things that were taught to me. It just seems a little ironic how this is the only forum that this has ever happened to me on...considering it's supposed to be about understanding technology etc. Other forums, yes they have problems from time to time...but never end up losing posts.

Is there a way to view my posts through some sort of internet archive or something?

The board got hacked - entire database deleted.

I guess the last backup was done a year ago.

That sucks...sorry to hear that. I love this website.

Is it possible to view an archive of this forum somehow?

I can never remember from one problem the next. Often the same problem comes up a year or two later and I have to start from scratch again.
