View Full Version : Today an Angel left the earth.. I love you Debbie

My sister always put others first ... She was a wife, a sister and a daughter. But foremost a mother.
At 35 she had accomplished more than anyone I know and she always had a smile even though her days were hard.
The last time I saw my sister outside the hospital , she had a birthday cake for me and she came outside to enjoy the rain.

As Debbie started nursing I Asked her how she could work with people that were dying and still smile for the children ..

"Junior , I am happy to help people find meaning in their life."

She was a true hero , and gravely missed.

Omg Les, I am so truly sorry .. knowing what you and your family has been through in the last few years I cannot imagine how you must be feeling, please accept my condolences to you and your family. It may be true that an angel has left the earth but that angel will watch over you now, she will always be near

Was so very sorry to read about Debbie. She sounded like such a wonderful person.

She obviously found her's. The stars twinkle brighter these days.


My heart goes out to you Les and I tear as I try to put myself in your shoes, which I cannot. I realize that it is difficult to be the rock for others when your own heart is heavy with grief but that is who you are and your family needs you. Stay strong and remember you are still in our prayers.

My beloved condolences go to your sister, Mr. Shaw. She will be greatly (and deeply) missed in this world. If you listen to these two songs: "I will remember you" by Sarah McLachlan and "Will your remember me" by Jann Arden, it will be deeply saden those memories that are somewhat tragic.

Let's all take a break from our computing and start a silent reflection dedicating to this beloved member of the family. :yyy:

My deepest sympathies on the loss of your sister, Les. I know you hold her in very high regard. When we came to do the shoot for your show you would always be talking about your sister. I am sure she had as much respect for you as you did for her. :-((

Les,

My deepest sympathies to you & your family. I too lost my younger sister this year and still can't believe she's gone. However, I always feel that she's around looking over us and I am sure you will experience the same. Hang in there! I wish I can tell you it gets easier, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her.

I've never had to lose a loved one, fortunatly for me, and I can only imagine how it feels. Sorry for your loss.

Very sorry to hear that Les. I hadnt been around TCM website for a few months due to work etc, last time, I saw your show when you talked to your sister in the hospital, and things sounded so upbeat. Im very sorry things went for the worst. Im sure your dad is with her now, and she is not suffering. We have had losses, I lost my dad on Oct 16th a while ago, and it is still hurts a lot, but numbs over the years. I know I will see him again, as you will your dad and sis. Im so sorry and we do share your loss, after hearing stories about Debbie. My prayers are with your family

Glad to hear you're doing OK Les.

I have no idea just how bad I'd feel if I lost a sibling at such a young age... I can't imagine how hard that would hit me... :wwh:

That is unfortunately the truth. Great people have to be taken so early and the total trash of the earth gets to live out their long miserable lives and make everyone else miserable too.

ah, but i dont want to think about it.

We are only seperated for a short period of time and when the time comes you will spend enternity with those loved ones who have passed on.She will always be there to listen to you.

Just popped up and found this sad thread. Even though we don't know each other, I have a profound respect and gratitude towards you Les, and your team whom have done a wonderful job with these forums. Please accept my deepest condolences. I am sure God needed the very best of the best. She will be missed here on earth.

Until we all meet again and this time, forever.
