Not good for the Liberal party any way you slice it, whether or not he is guilty or not.
John Tory once again, surprisingly pops his head out of his hole to make an appearance. He plans to capitalize on this with his appearance on Canada AM show.

Saw that on the news its interesting how he knew about it at 4:30 pm had a document in his hand and Dalton didn't know about it till after supper.
I'm not keen about the energy minister being in charge of the economy especially after the power fiasco last summer with voltage reductions and Brownouts
Regardless its not good for the liberals.

I was surprised he resigned over $5000.00 - which is the figure I've seen floating around.
But the scuttlebutt is that there must be more to this than has yet been revealed.
Sorbara has always been smarmy and would be regardless of party affiliation.
And who cares what John Tory has to say anyway.
In a September 27 TorStar article........ "Tory, on the other hand, said scrapping the health tax is one promise he’s willing to make to voters if they elect him in October 2007.
“A Progressive Conservative government will eliminate the health tax over the course of its term in office,” he said. “I am not planning to make an extensive list of promises, but I certainly want to promise people first and foremost they will have a government they can trust.”
So basically Tory isn't going to tell us what he wants to do.......he just wants us to trust him.

The warrant says the Mounties have "reasonable grounds" to believe that Sorbara, Royal Group founder and former chairman Vic De Zen and two other executives "did by deceit, falsehood, or other fraudulent means, defraud Royal Group Technologies" or its shareholders and creditors of money or other securities worth more than $5,000 between Jan. 1, 1996 and Sept. 30, 2002.
The warrant also reveals that the Mounties were investigating an alleged fraud regarding the sale of two properties in Brampton, Ont.
The warrant alleges those executives circulated or published a prospectus or statements they knew were false regarding related party transactions.
The warrants are based on information from affidavits that are under seal because of a court order.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.

He had no choice but to resign, and let's not kid ourselves. If the situation were reversed, McGuinty and the Liberals would be all over John Tory and the Conservatives. Politics - pure and simple.
