Half-life 2 Retail Question

I have a quick question, If i buy Half-life 2 instores (sealed and all) What type of CD Key will it give me for Steam? (Like Silver or Bronze) All i really want is Hl2, Hl2 Deathmatch, CS:S and Dod:s

HL2DM, CSS and dod are all free with your hl2 purchase.

DOD:S does not come with the regular retail it comes with the collectors edition if i am not mistaken but Css and hl2dm come with all

DOD doesn't come with any. I believe it's a free download through steam.

dod source does not come with any but to get it you need to have at least bought the collectors editor or the sliver editor which is only availble through steam bronze is the retail version

Ah, alright.

Speaking of Steam downloads... has anyone played the free Codename Gordon game? Lol, it's a side-scrolling version of HL2, it's pretty fun. I spent a few hours playing it, hehe.

Im thinking of just getting it thru Ebay to save some money, thats where i got my CS and CS:CZ. And yes i have played that Codename Gordon, Beat it sooooo many times. Its short thou, REALLY short. I was at my friends house and he just got CS:CZ, So it was downloading, So i started playing Codename Gordon, and i beat it before the game even hit 30% downloading.

I have half life 2, And sofar ive already tried one mod and i would say probally the best mod for Half life 2 which i think is Garry's Mod. Only cost me 22.95$ CDN to get Hl2. Very Good price

You don't really wanna do that. There's a 90% chance that you will lose that account because the seller illegally got that account or it's banned.
The seller may "look" all good and all but earlier this year they busted a guy that was selling HL2 on ebay & he either stole then of used fraudulent means & is now in prison I believe.
If the seller tells you he buys wholesale or in bulk, he's full of it.
VALVe does neither of those.

I bought the CD key, not an account. I NEVER buy accounts off of ebay, I know thouse are usally stolen or banned.
