Can't open Word attachments from Hotmail

Hi,
This morning I'm having a problem to open Word attachmnents from my hotmail account. (I have usd different computers with the same issue)
Any suggestion would be apprecited.

Have you tried right clicking and saving the attached doc to your desktop and then opening?

never used hotmail .. But
if you can't open .doc attachments then it would be a security issue for that user.
or the file sent is corrupt.
get the person to send it in Rich Text or just .txt

I totally agree with never using Hotmail.
I googled the problem and there are others having the same problem...

Hotmail is also not accepting any attachments that are an executable file (exe, zip, etc.) to prevent virus spreading. If this is what they are sending as an attachment, have them change the extention to ".txt" and that should help.
