damn!!! so far really good game, im scared going around every corner, that little dead girl and that vampire guy are always around somewhere, im never going to play this game at night:ygu:

I had pretty horrible performance issues with the demo version, but all seems fine with the retail release!!!! This game is amazing.. too many games, Black'n'White 2, Age of Empires III, Quake 4, F.E.A.R. I need some serious vacation time from work for this!!!!

I'm glad to see Monolith is getting the attention they deserve. I've always enjoyed playing FPS games made by Monolith, even though hardly any of them made it to the mainstream.

I wonder how Condemned will be, as this too is one of their titles.

System requirements lab says that my computer passes for FEAR and Doom 3 but i dont know if i trust the site.

my specs are

P4 2.5 ghz
1 gig ram
radeon 9500 pro 128 meg
windows xp

would those run well enough to enjoy?
oh and half life 2?

Yeah, you can play all three of those for sure.

Also in the middle of playing FEAR. Great game so far.

Was a toss up between Quake 4 and FEAR. However, Quake 4 looked very similar to Doom 3 and for 59 bucks, was looking for something entirely new. Anyone pick up and play Quake 4 yet?

I love the Quake series but until someone convinces me otherwise, will hold off.

Quake 4 looks like an upgraded quake 3 arena. I liked Q3 arena and wouldnt mind a new version (kinda like what UT 2004 is to UT 2003. ) but i like games with SP as well.

picked up quake 4 yesterday got the dvd edition came with quake 2 never played itbut for 10 bucks more i thought what the hell ,so far better then doom 3 , can't really comment on graphics as i have a crappy card. story so far is interesting , sound good. i would post some screens but i would not to make your guys eyes bleed from the bad grahpics.

final verdic good game so far kinda makes me feel like iam playing C&C rengade again and that was a dam good game

it's got a single player storyline. and mutiplayer which i have yet to try.

the story is awesome, i played teh multiplayer beta, its alright, but..may as well just play story mode.

Hey Athlon_9800,

Couldn't agree more. Can't stop playing FEAR.

Keep stopping my chores (ie cleaning the basement) and firing up FEAR.

Not quite as scary as some reviews/reports state but still, very suspenseful with plenty of action! I am actually enjoying much more than Half-Life 2. My rig suffers from the crappy stutter bug. I completed HL2 and then deleted from my hard drive.

Anyway, back to FEAR.

Let me know if you will be playing multiplayer at some point.

Just started playing it a bit for fun. It's really fun and scary. It's a damn good game. Hopefully I'll have time to finish it.

Needs to upgrade my graphics card for this one and still very undecided to go with ATI crossfire or Nvidia's SLI ..

Both work the same in this game.

With the exception that ati has beta drivers out thatspeed the game up quite a bit.

Yea guys quake 4 was great, but a bit shorts, F.E.A.R can get enuff, and now call of duty too URGH soo many games plus would of warcraft on the side and bf2 expansion!!!! man i need a new videocard lol!!
