Are there any that work or do I just need an extension or something for them to work?

You might need to install Java.

I have sunjava installed but it only loads with IE.
Is there one that works with FF?

Java needs to know that FF is there :d

Also - handy FF extension: QuickJava (https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&id=1237)

Thx Bogie. I had to use this one as the sun java one wouldn't verify even though I just installed it via FF without issue.
I have tested quick java but it will show on the bottom "errors logged to java console", even though the test worked.
How do I check that?

First, go to 'add / remove programs' and uninstall any and all entries for Java. Start at the bottom of the list and work your way up. Reboot.
D/L the full version from the link above and install it... then configure it as instructed here:
http://java.com/en/download/help/5000020200.xml

This will clean any of the old crap out and give you a fresh start again... everything should work properly again :)
