Recover Lost CMOS Password If you've set a password on your CMOS/BIOS (which you're required to type in if you want to make changes to the BIOS settings) and now you don't remember it, or you've bought or "inherited" a computer with a BIOS password that you don't know, you may be able to decrypt it using this handy little free tool call CmosPwd. It works on several popular BIOS versions. See this Web site for a list of supported BIOS versions and to download the utility.
