I have recently begun plugging my guitar into my line out jack to play through my computer. Have been experimenting with some multi track recording software recently as well.The problem I seem to be discovering is the effects and sounds modifications of these programs will not work in real time, which they are supposed too, they only work upon playback of the recorded guitar.Dose anybody know if this has to do with having a half duplex or full duplex sound card?Some one told me you need a full duplex sound card to process effects real time as you are playing. Also could this be a sound latency issue? My computer only has onbaord sound (Avance AC97 audio) sound card. I would like to upgrade soon to a independant sound card. One last thing how does one go about finding out about the duplex thing on my computer,checking which one I have? Thanx in advance
