Hi guys.. hopefully someone can help me here.

I recently met this person via friendsters and we started to talk to MSN. Turns out that the person has been stocking me, and has been getting information such as my friend's full name, where I goto work, etc. She also threatens by posting my phone number online in chatrooms, etc.

I think this person is mentally..disturbed (I hope I used the right word). And thru our "chat", I have been able to get her to recieve a file on MSN, and from there, I used "netstat" in dos prompt and retrieved some IPs.

Now.. is there a way I can find out who this person is by the IP address? there is about 10 IPs from netstat, one of which should belong to her(or him, I really dont know).

What should I do? That person is really beginning to scare me as she has been getting a lot of information about me. What should I do?

Do you know which ISP she/he is on? If yes, call them up and give all the ip addresses.

the IPs that are suspecious are either from Bell sympatico or Rogers.. basically the only 2 highspeed providers. I am not too sure if they will release that type of information.

Just tell them that you are being harrassed by people/a person on the following on the following ips - *list them*

You gave the information freely & honestly I do not think they will be able to do much at all about them threatening to publish your pone number..
They might possibly do something (like send a warning letter) if they were sending you loads of spam but other than that I can not see them getting involved.. (It would all depend on what you vs. them consider harassment)
It seems as though you have just learned a very valuable lesson.. there are some not so nice ppl out there.
Personal information should never be given out unless you are 110% sure it will not be misused..
Best solution if you are really concerned is block the person from MSN..
Do not have any further contact with them
If necessary change your phone number
