My trouble started when I downloaded Netscape 8. Since then neither my internet explorer nor the netscape browser has been working properly. I have since uninstalled the Netscape browser, but my internet explorer is still not working.
Here's my problem. I use the browser to access webmail through the my.senecacollege.ca webpage. After I login and get to my mail, if the mail has any attachments (such as word, excel, lotus etc. documents), and I click on the attachments to open them up, the documents will not open.
Prior to downloading the new netscape browser (which I no longer have), I used Netscape 7.2 browser. When I clicked on the attachments, I would get a dialogue box which asked if I wanted to open the document or save it to a disk. The same used to happen with my internet explorer browser. Now I get absolutely nothing.
Also if I try to respond to the email, I cannot respond. When I click on "reply" the dialogue box which usually came up for me to respond, no longer comes up, so I cannot respond.
This is happening only on my computer. If I go to another computer, I can access the mail fine, open attachments fine and respond fine.
Could someone please help me with this problem. I need my computer to continue earning my daily bread. Thanks.
