I'm making a stab at this and don't want it to be a flop...wanted to do it in the crockpot and I figured that doing it on "low" would be the same as simmering so, it should be okay! Has anyone here done it or something similar using the crockpot?It's a 6-quart.:rrg:

I don't see what would be wrong with using a crock pot although one source says that "an earthenware stockpot" (presumably unglazed) should be used.
