Multiple Removable Disks?

A friend of mine has multiple removable disks and I'm not sure why. When he plugs in his USB Key it shows up as another removable drive. I asked him if he had anything else hooked up to his computer and he assured me he doesn't have any other removable disks hooked up.

Does any one know why he would have so many removable disks showing up on his computer?

Yeah I have seen this before, he has a card reader that can read mutiple formats, each drive letter represents a different slot for a different format.
