A family member recently passed away. :( What I would like to do is call their cell phone number up with my computer using win98 se and record their voice mail message. Does anyone have any idea what program I could use to do this? Thank you.:vxd:
You could dowload thie program Super MP3 Recorder from http://www.supermp3recorder.com/
The free version alows you to record for 20 seconds.

you can use just about any software recorder but the problem will be
inputing the audio into the computer. you could try a phone that has
a head set jack you will need a adapter to connect the phone to the
computers line in or mike jack. or if its an older phone you can buy
a coil pickup which uses a suction cup that sticks to the ear piece.
then plug it into the computer sound card. one last option I can think of
is an older 56k modem with voice could call and record the message.
I don't know much about the new cell phones but maybe they have a recording feature.
there is always holding the mike up to a phone not the greatest quality.
