Guess I'm either "caught between a rock and hard place", or .. "have the best of both worlds". Ottawa is my hometown, and I've lived around here for most of my life. So "Go Leafs Go!", and "Go SENS!"

It's harder to win when only one guy on the team is playing - Tucker - but the rest took the night off. I've been saying for a long time now it's time for a coaching change if for no other reason because he keeps putting Belak in the lineup, Belak scored the second Sens goal last night. After this romping though I was wondering if Cherry considered this 'running up the score' like he accused the Leafs of doing, will have to see next week on CC's

Although the sens are having a great start, it is really to early to tell.
Will Alfredson stay healthy or will he take his annual christmas vacation.
Right now Ottawa seems to be in better game shape then everyone else in the league.
Right now that is, sooner or later everyone will be in game shape as well and it will be a different story, so Ottawa fans enjoy it while it lasts.
Like every single Ottawa pro sports teams in the past, they will fade and choke into oblivion.
Sens = Chokers
Rough Riders = Chokers, now forgotten
Renegades = They cannot make the playoffs in a dead football league, of which there is only 3 teams that play respectable football anyways.

Sens+ Lalime= Chokers
Sens + Hasek = Real Contenders
Simple as that, I mean did u see Hasek come out to stop that semi break away, that's what Lalime never had, (smarts) + Hasek is the hardest working golie in the league, and that filters out to the D and then to the Forwards.
The other two teams, agreed hhah

Hasek?
Hasek?
Well all I can say about that comment is I hope his back does not become an issue, remeber he is no spring chicken.
Lets face it the sens have never made a sound decision on or off the ice.
Fire Ferguson, and keep Sexton, LOL. Daigle, Yashin ,Martin, Lalime.
I could go on and on but you know the history, maybe you just like the color of the sky in your world.
Maybe as a Sens fan you could explain something to me?
In Montreal they have all those cups right, like the Yankees they have been the dominent pro sports teams in North America, right? No one really comes close to them in championships well maybe the Celtics ( 16 ) I believe.
That said, it is basically known that in Montreal, New York if you don't produce, the press chews you up and spits you out. There is a incredible amount of pressure to play on these teams to produce or your gone.
Now, why is it in Ottawa every sports writer, t.v sports news, or radio for that matter, everyone is a HOMER?
Alfredson plays a horrible series and vanishes like he usually does in the playoffs, do we hear it in the media, that he has to step it up? NO! We hear how the puck boy did not lose any pucks during practice. LOL
Alfredson, jeezus he is a burr in my saddle. He annually takes a month off or two around Dec/ Jan/ comes back plays up a storm then completely dissappears in the playoffs. EVERY DARN YEAR HE IS INVISBLE IN THE PLAYOFFS!
Now, where are or were the calls for his job? Its like every writer in this town is on the sens payroll and they are all indoctrinated, or brainwashed into thinking " Well, If I have nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all."
Garrioch, Stevens, Dink Brown, Millen, Don Brennan, none of them ever had the balls to come out and say the truth, Sexton, Daigle, Yashin, Martin, Lalime, Alfredson, Should have been fired along time before they actually were.
And Bryden, big baby, his yearly temper tantrums about taking the team and leaving ottawa, LOL. Two words to all this dead wood, BUH BYE! LOL.
Well I cannot say to many bad things about Randy LOL Sexton, he did do a real good job keeping the coffee orders straight in the general managers meetings back then. LMAO.
Bowman, Savard, all the big wigs are sitting there and Randy has to go for the coffee. Can't you just see it LMAO

agreed wih post above lol
well i give John Muckler credit, he knew what he was doing when he traded Hossa for Heatley didn't he!!!!!!
hey im not a die hard sens fan, im a canadian sports team fan, any canadian team in hockey doing well is great in my books.
I abandon the leafs because they just mix up the assortment bag creating hope where there is none
I respect the Sens because of how they came into being an elite team. They drafted well, developed a solid core of players, and through time and a couple of key signings, they are today top 3 in the league

Heres a constructive retort to the Hasek vs. Lalime argument. How about this? Emery vs. Prusek?
Although i love Prusek, both on the ice and in person, Emery has far more potential. Also, Pruseks overall goalie style would be more adequate in European leagues. He is good in the NHL, but similar to Telqvist, very unconsistant and i dont see that changing as fast as one such as Emery.
So we've got a solid core of players, we've got a decent goalie backdrop, we've got some risky business moves that are showing the Sens luck factor... and if nothing else, we can always count on Havlat to hoof you in the jock strap.
Now THAT is hockey.

^ Yes, Emery. I'm glad he's playing backup now. He was always the little bit more consistent than Prusek.
