hi guys i have a problem my computer keeps restarting automatically at any certain time.

everytime i reboot i get an error message saying their maybe a problem with any new hardware or software that was installed

The problem is that i haven't installed any new hardware or software in a long time.

I did a memory test and everything is fine
i did system restore and it still kept restarting

i am running windows xp pro

here is a link of the error message i keep getting
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/response.aspx?SGD=5ac17c4f-e06d-49d3-b180-5d29670c7efe&SID=10

do u guys know what could be wrong ?
thanks for ur time

It's likely the power supply.

You could try and disable the auto restart on system failure...
(If you disable it you should get an error msg instead of it shutting down.. this may give you some more information)
Right click on My Computer.. Properties... Advance Tab...
Uncheck Automatically Restart under System Failure...

Check your device manager for any conflicts (yellow excamations)..
If you have any conflicts .. remove the device and reboot.. windows will detect and install it.. then update the drivers...

If there are no conflicts you might want to try and update the drivers anyway to see if that fixes your problem

i checked it's not the power supply
and i did uncheck Automatically Restart under System Failure and it still keeps restarting

also i went to device manager and there seems to be no conflcit

i don't know it keeps continuing to restart !

have any removeable devices? Installed any new hardware lately?

Maybe its the heat. Auto power shut off when CPU gets too hot. You can turn that off in the bios. Dont reccomend it today though. mines runnin at 65 degrees Celcius

Sounds like a driver has been corrupted. Try scandisk, then re-install all the drivers for your hardware. (dosen't have to be in that order)
