Hey guys, I am about to install as Debian and I wanted to know which books are good to get that will help learning the OS. I want one that will teach me the basics but also networking. Please feel free to list as many books and such as possible.

Also, will any Linux book be good eneugh to learn such as Linux for dummies that will teach me about Debian? or will I have to get specifc Debian related books?

Thank You,

this is the linux cookbook first edition. it's a little outdated but it will get you started. second edition is available but not free.

Debian is not the easiest of Linux distros for a novice. It is possible to use most distros now without ever having to type in a command. You should try some of the Live CD distros first.

There's lots out there - here's 3 I found really useful (check the "Get it used" - you can sometimes get a really good price.)
