View Full Version : So how was the TO-TA game in HD on Sat?

As soon as a I read the "in HD" while watching the Leafs-Bolts game on CBC Saturday, I was wishing I had a HDTV box to enjoy the game at 1080 beautiful lines of resoution (or whatever it is). http://www.majesty.ru/forum/style_emoticons/default/cry_1.gif
So how did the game look? Was it in widescreen?
Will all the future HNIC Toronto games be in HD also?

This is an offtopic regard about this topic not about the hockey game but NFL games and basketball games in HD are amazing I am assuming Hockey would be amazing too. The only draw back is certain HD channels such as ABC and NBC tend to have better HD quality then CITYTV or TSN. I found that HDTSN's HD service is not as great as others like HDSPN *sportsnet*. But ABC and NBC and FOX HD channels easily win the HD quality category atleast with all the HD channels rogers wants to give us. USA HD > Canadian HD for the computer geeks here :hsh:

I watched the game and it looked awesome in widescreen hd. TSN and Sportsnet's hd coverage is in hd as well but has bars along the sides (for hockey atleast.)

You can stretch the picture but then it doesn't look right so I just watch it with the side bars. I hope they fix it soon.

But yeah, every game on HNIC will be in widescreen high defenition now I believe.

Definetly worth it for hardcore hockey fans.
