I bet you're saying the same as i did "Are those guys still around!!??"
Well, yes they are, still touring every year but not as much as they used to. There are still 3 of the orginal members, 2 of which are the original lead singers.
Saw them Saturday night in the Avalon Ballroom at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls. It's a beautiful place to see a show, not a bad seat anywhere. I think the capacity is around 1500. I admit i wasn't expecting alot when my friend mentioned she bought these tickets a few weeks ago.
They were great ! Thier voices, Danny Hutton & Corey Wells, sound as good now as they did back in the 70's. The harmonies are still there too. They did all the songs everybody knows, a couple of new ones too. They were funny, good stories between the songs, & looked liked they really enjoyed what they were doing, putting on a good entertaining show. Of course they saved "Joy To The World" for the last song in the encore, but everybody knew that. A great 1 1/2 hour show, the time flew by. The sound in that theatre is amazing. We had balcony seats, but it sounded like you were right down front. I have to say if they come around this area again, i'd definetly see them again. They are playing in Thunder Bay in January 2006, but hat's a bit too far for me to go.
