New virus alert as of Nov 8?

Hi All;

I heard something today about a new very destructive virus however, I was not able to get details.

Has anyone else heard about a virus that comes in email with the subject "letter to a friend".

It seems that when this email is opened it locks up your computer and when CTRL ALT & DELETE are pressed to unlock the PC, this action will destroy the hard drive.

I am not sure how reliable my source is but I wanted to find out what others know before I panic!!!
