I played Star Wars Galaxies for a couple months at launch, then again a year later. I loved it, but it had its problems.

Now they've had many changes, and the game is looking really cool again. They've redone it from the ground up, basically.

I think I might have to play it again, but I'm going to try the 10 day trial.

trust me, ive been playing swg for over 2 years now, they redid the game to attract new players with no regard for vets, alot of ppl are quitting, so many farewell posts in the different galaxies respective forums

they killed off many professions, made jedi weaker then everybody else, gave people who spent months earning and grinding a jedi a robe that doesnt really do alot, a blue or an orange crystal, and an elder jedi title

its really not as enjoyable as it was before, the game has taken a sad turn and alot of ppl see swg dying off, including me

I played it for a couple hours, I found it enjoyable. I will play it some more to get a better idea.

It's like a completely different game... for real. It actually feels like Star Wars now, though, which is better.

The game was pretty bad from the beginning, I don't think they could've made it any worse, and I don't think they did, actually.

I am curious. with the complete redoing of the game, and taking away so many classes, did they also institute a complete player character wipe?

sucks if they did, but I dont see how they couldnt. any game I play, if they wiped what I worked for, i would quit too.

No, they didn't wipe it. They let you choose where you wanted to put your experience, and you got to "test" them out; they gave players multiple re-specs. Also, they gave them items and special things for being a "veteran".
