I use this router regularly and it works, but we're trying to connect a laptop that has been connected to this router before and it won't. It says it's connected, but with limited or no connectivity. I tried disabling the ethernet and enabling it again, but it didn't work. It says there was no network address assigned to the computer, so I tried to go into the DOS prompt and renew the ip but it wouldn't let me and gave me an error.
Help asap, please.
Thanks.

Do you have sp2 installed?

Check your cable, settings again. You could try assigning a network address to the laptop.
Some other suggestions, including an sp2 patch.

You could also try rebooting the router if you think all the settings are right.

Set a static IP address and try it then.

I tried reseting both the router and modem already, didn't work.
Oh, and I shall just call up that conservation area for help, lol ;)

That link is exactly what I need, thanks, but how can I download a patch on the laptop if it can't get online?

The patch is only 507kb from what I have seen. Just save to a floppy and go from there...unless it prompts an additional download from the net when installing...not sure.
