error message: not enough memory or resources

Was just resizing something in Paint and I keep getting an error message that states:
"There is not enough memeory or resources to complete operation. Close some programs and try again"

Nothing was open.

How much RAM do you have, and how long has the computer been on since last reboot? Try a reboot then the same process and see what happens.

Was only on a few hours, worked fine after reboot.
