I ordered a Coolermaster laptop cooler from Canadacomputers, and when I recieved my tracking number, I looked it up on UPS and I was SHOCKED to see that someone had already signed for it! Someone named Howard signed for MY product! this is insane! it cost me $70 and i'll never see that money again. I emailed Canada computers and UPS. Still waiting for a response.
I'll NEVER buy anything online again.
Do you have neighbors? You might have not been home and sometimes they will go to a neighbor and have them sign for it.

Well, relax....UPS covers loss/theft/damage i'm pretty sure, so since the package was addressed to you, and you weren't the one who signed, its not your fault. The driver is the one who made the assumption it was safe to leave with a neighbor or wherever he did leave it, so call and b**ch at UPS.

I'd call both companies instead of waiting for them to reply to your emails. Start with UPS because it's obviously their screwup. You may not want to be suspicious of friends but did you tell anyone that you were expecting a laptop to arrive via UPS?

I hope it works out for you. a friend in the building I live in lost an airplane
part and it took weeks to get the ball rolling so he could get a replacement.

Yep. The UPS lady told me the exact address that it was sent to, just down the hall. Apparently they know my parents :\
That was confusing. Anyhoo, I got it and just in time too. Was about to get angry or something :)
