Your post isn't very clear.

Run hard drive diagnostics. (download from website of hdd manufacturer)

What are your system specs and what os are you using (if xp, what service pack)? This seems to be a problem with many variables and solutions (or not). Suspects for the cause seem to be usb 2 hard drives, large drives formatted ntfs, via, ati, problems with hdd cache, generic pc controller drivers, etc. Therefore the more info you can give us, the better chance to find a solution.

Periods and commas (. and ,) make sentences easier to read. You should look into them.

"Periods and commas (. and ,) make sentences easier to read. You should look into them."

I understand. You suggested I need to insert periods and commas to be clearly understood. I have 3 questions for you? I believe, periods and commas are grammatical devices. Could you please explain how a person could look into a period, or a comma? Also, once (and I have, "looked into them"), what should I find or see; Nirvana? :htv:
