hi all. I was wondering if i can add a stick of ram from my old computer to the new one. The stick is i belive 128mb SDRAM. My new computer has 512mb of DDR RAM. Should i be taking into consideration any factors before doing this? Thank You.

SD RAM won't fit into the slot for DDR RAM, different pin numbers, not to mention it's totaly incompatible, sorry. You wouldn't notice much difference even if it did work. :)

thanks for the replies. Well... if i still did go ahead with putting in the stick, can any damage occur to my pc. For further info, this is my motherboard http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/lc/index.htm

It won't fit! If you must add more RAM then you need more DDR RAM. The slots are completely different for the two types.

Just to add to what's already said here...
Even if the motherboard has slots for both types of ram, you can only use one type or the other... not both at the same time... it won't work.

You can never mix 2 different types of ram.
