That's cool ... a pixelated keyboard key-set!

Wonder if will ever be produced!

Read about and I want one badly. It is great for someone like me or my parents where we would like to type in other languages.

From all the feed back I've seen this would be one HOT selling keyboard if they really made it.

They better patent it, as it would sell like hotcakes! (Where did that saying come from? Now I gotta find out!)

Just had to find out :D

SELL LIKE HOT CAKES - "Hot cakes cooked in bear grease or pork lard were popular from earliest times in American. First made of cornmeal, the griddle cakes or pancakes were of course best when served piping hot and were often sold at church benefits, fairs, and other functions. So popular were they that by the beginning of the 19th century 'to sell like hot cakes' was a familiar expression for anything that sold very quickly effortlessly, and in quantity." From "Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins" by Robert Hendrickson (Facts on File, New York, 1997)

A good new keyboard has been a long time coming ... right now most are almost throw-away items.

I spent a few bucks extra when this Microsoft Internet Pro keyboard came out, and it was well worth it. Individual key springs, not a full sheet membrane.

BUT... I want this concept board you linked to!

Yeah, that looks awesome... although, wouldn't it be reeeaaally costly?

Has anyone seen those keyboards that are beams of light on your desk and you actually type on the light emitted to your desk? Those look cool, too.

I have one of those, it's cool but pretty useless. First off, it takes a while to get used too as there's no feedback. There's just a beep when you press a key. Secondly it can only be used on perfectly flat and level surface that's dark in colour.

I orginally planned to use it with a lap top. I figured I could place the laptop or palm PC on a desk or seat back tray on an airplane and then project the keyboard on my lap but that doesn't work. A much more practicaly solution is just to get one of those wireless folding keyboards.

It's a really cool technology just not very useful in it's current application.

Now that's one heck of a keyboard, it'll be interesting to see where it ends up in production (application) initialy.
