Its the only thing they could do as off Midnight tonight ,But she might be leaving later this evening,I still say it could be her Father who will try that,
Just remember that as much as we all hate her being released, she did do her time regardless. So no use crying over spilled milk, however, society has a way of dealing with criminals of that caliber......so we shall wait and see.....

you can't compare what she did to "spilt milk".......... it's beyond and above spilt milk. The problem is she didn't do her time in reality she should be a lifer like her ex husband
well the only reason she got the way to soon release date is cause evidence was with held, i think that the whole plea bargain and stuff should have been voided because of the tapes they found later

I'll bet the reporters that were camped out all this time in front of the prison were pissed. They slipped her out right past them in a red van.

The complete interview will play later tonight on the CBC National. She looks like she's had plastic surgery.

What a twit. She was begging and pleading the courts for an injunction to prevent reporters from hounding her so she could vanish into anomymity and then she turns around and agrees to an interview on national TV

With the publication of that picture, all that plastic surgery's for naught now. Everyone knows what she now looks like :nde:

I hope the CBC didn't pay her for an exclusive.

I hope they didn't pay her.
CBC would be raked over the coals if they paid her.
By the way, I think her eyes in that pic are still a dead giveway.

I reckon 12 years in the 'pen' changes a person. No plastic surgery, simply time taking it's toll especially when a guilty conscience is at play...

I don't think that is her. as it would be Pointless to ask for Privacy,

I just a clip of the interview on CBC News just now. It is her. The eyes are a dead giveaway. No amount of plastic surgery can change those evil eyes.

Come on Kelisis.......where in the Optometrist Handbook does it talk about evil eyes.
Karla & Paul did "evil" things, no question about that, but she is now out in society and he is sitting in a warm, comfortable place getting three squares a day and probably amenities that the average person on the street doesn't get. In addition he has baby sitters 24 hours a day to protect him from harm.
Maybe the devil is repaying them for the work they did on his/her behalf or maybe it is time to look our our criminal justice system and the people that believe that the rights of the victim are secondary to the rights of the perp.

If I was a technician at CBC, i would give the harshest of light to her to make her appear evil.
On a side note.....I have children and if it were my daughter she killed i'd never forgive her but at some point i would want to have a face to face with her for closure...it's a shame that the French Mahoffy (sp) keep having to go to court or get the lawyers or have it in the news.

I fondly hope they catch her in Ontario, and charge with complicity in the death of her sister.
Their plea-bargaining doesn't cover that one. I hope not.

If memory serves, the deal covered all 3 deaths. If I remember correctly, the only thing the deal didn't include at the time were those two 'Jane Doe' rape incidents.

Originally it was 10 years for Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French. When her role in her sister's death was uncovered they decided to tack on an extra 2 years for the total of 12.
There wasn't too much bargining involved. The Crown was in a tight spot as they had announced to everyone that they had caught the killer. However, they soon found themselves without any direct evidence. If the Crwon had just a little more patience, not spoken so soon, and just waited to see what police would have uncovered from the home things would be much different. She might have still got a a deal to testify against Paul but it might have been closer to 30 years.

Pretty sad when you think of it in terms of only 5 years each for Mahaffy and French and only 2 for her sister.
As far as the police, they screwed up that investigation from the very beginning. They tore that place apart, ripping drywall etc. for 3 weeks and couldn't find the tapes??
And that lawyer that did get them (with the help of Bernardo) and witheld them from the prosecution should have been disbarred and gone to jail for a long time for obstruction of justice. That was another major screw up

No one does more than 25 years unless you're declared a dangerous offender and jailed indefinitely (which thankfully Bernardo was declared as such).
Our justice system, don't forget, always puts the perp's rights above those of the victim.

I think maybe Bernardo might help put her back if the knows more that is not covered

i think she did very well in the interview. that psychology degree she received in prison served her well. she knew exactly when to cast her eyes down (in shame, i'm guessing), when to tilt her head, etc. unfortunatley, the complete lack of emotion really did giver her away.
i suspect she had a difficult time concentrating on speaking french (also learned in prison) and adjusting her facial expressions at the appropriate time. maybe she should have taken drama lessons during those 12 years.

don't Quebec courts follow the Napoleonic code - guilty til proven innocent?
If so, and she commits a crime, she would have to prove her innocence. How fast would she scream to be back in ontario lol

Exactly.. I'm looking for a new trade. Hmm. Wonder where I go to get a free degree of any kind, short of killing people? Where does the average Joe go?
