I love this weather, so I'm not trying to beat it, but rather enjoy it.

Chasing the shade when outdoors plus lots of fluids when working in the sun.

Air inside when needed but with the reno's it's off most of the day as the doors are open too often. Watch, when I get to keep them closed it will have cooled off. Go figure eh! Enjoy and remember this poll in the middle of the winter. :)

Oddly this heat doesn't really bother me much, I've been out in it everyday for walks but also drinking lot's of water. We don't have an A/C but do have a fan which we use at night for sleeping

Anybody have the website that shows the current usage of power in Ontario by any chance since this is pretty much the same topic.

For me AC in car, home, and work. I hate this weather.

A/C on 24/7 feels nice but I'll pay for it.

I love the cold so this weather isn't the greatest for me. Working long hours in the A/C for the past couple weeks has kept me cool.

I would take this weather over that any time. Maybe it's because I'm not outside all day.

I'm usually in the pool. Compared to work, outside is cool. 105 - 110 F on the floor along with a 95% relative humidity = approx 167 F.

there is no sitting in my underwear infront of the fan option... so i just picked other. I try and go to work as much as possible, they have the a/c cranked. unfortunatly i only have 2 shifts next week :(

A/C on but by no means running full tilt. Set at 74 during the day, up to 76 at night. Not gonna freeze my butt off at home....just take some of the humidity out of the air. 15 degrees is going to end up with nothing but a huge hydo bill. Heard from an expert on the news that an A/C set any lower than 74 is not a very efficient way to go. 74 is a very comfortable temp to be in. Set any lower than that and you are overworking the A/C and using more hydro than you need to.

I'm with Nave, well, not 'with' him.

No A/C at home, just a cool shower now and then.

I do have air in the car though, for me and my charges, so that's cool. And all vans/mini-buses too. :)

central air set at 15c and a few cold beers.

That's way too cold. Mine is set at 25 (78 Fahrenheit) during the day and I lower it to 76 during the night (Don't sleep well when warm). If you need to set it to 15 then I suggest you check how the insulation in your place is.

It's all good,my wife pays all the bills and then writes them off.

You can kill your compressor like that - basically the refrigerant must absorb heat to evaporate. If there's not enough load or insufficient airflow, liquid is circulated back to the condenser (outdoor unit); causing damage, since you can't compress liquid.

No system can maintain that temperature, unless there's cooler weather. Setting the stat lower just makes the unit run longer, not "harder".

Set it at 24 - 25c and be done with it. (23 during periods of low load and high humidity if required)

I'd like to beat this heatwave with a stick.....a big stick.

ac all the way set to run constant best I get is 72 to 78. the ac is over 20 years old
and the fan always set to hi. setting a fan speed lower will kill a compressor.
the compressor works the same in all fan speeds the hi speed has a better chance
of cooling the compressor. had the unit tested 2 years ago was told it is running
in perfect order but was also told I should buy a new one because it would use
half the hydro. I'll keep this one going till it dies or rots out :)

Sorry Ken, but I had to turn you in.

The energy police are on the way.

You'll forgive me in time.

24 All day usally (Probabally 23 at night). My basement is FREEZING cold, Main floor is 24/23 C and upstairs in my room/Where my computer is, is around 25-27 C (according to my motherboard tempature). But once our temps start hitting In the mid 30's to 40's (with humidity) the AC MUST BE ON, Thats close to flordia tempatures in middle of the summer. (When in flordia for me its usally 90-110 F) And the AC set to 67 F :) (only in florida)

A/C most of the time. When I go out I "become one with the heat". It doesn't really bother me that much if I don't try to fight it, rather I adapt myself to the environment.
