want to buy wi-fi but not sure so if i get one i will be able to get my emails or do i still have to subscribe to a service. I thought it might be like my wireless lap top.

I have the Palm Tx.. you can pickup your email using the wifi. It comes with an email client that you can setup a pop account just like sympatico..

Aslong as you are in range to some sort of wifi, or have a bluetooth cell phone to use as a connection you can pickup your email easy.

Or if you want you can use the web browser to check email though a web client.
