So anyone have a good time. That was one heck of a storm. Standing water everywhere I see. Amazing thunder and lightning. One got pretty close to the building because it made my heart jump. Scary for a second. And supposedly reports of a funnel cloud. Too bad I missed that one. Would have like to seen one at least.

The farmers in this area definitely won't be complaining for a water now.

Anybody know or would like to take a guess how much rain we just got in the past hour??

Less than an inch here where I am in Waterloo. Other areas may have gotten more depending on where you are.

How many times did you loose power??

It was really coming down hard here in Kitchener. And this building alone lost the power about 5 or 6 times.

Didn't lose power at all. I must have been on the edge of the system. Rain and thunder but no power loss.

Same here - my ups didn't even kick in. Lots of noise and rain, though. The brown all over is actually starting to green up a bit. It must have been enough, though. The rain has stopped for a bit, but the drainage basin in the middle still has a fair sized stream still flowing in.

You guys are lucky sob's.... day after day I keep hearing folks from K-W saying they're getting rain....
Yet we're still dry as dust here in London :(

You want some of this Dr. Dan?? Take it. It is so dark right now that you'd think it was late evening or something.

Don't give up Dr. Dan, looks like you guys have a storm coming your way as well.

So dry here in Whitby and a watering ban to boot. Spent big bucks in the early spring on grass and now looks like some old hay field................Every time they do call for rain it goes right around us.

When I came out of the Oshawa Centre at 3:00 it looked immanent.

Well, I'm here to tell you it's actually getting brighter.

Bummer.

If God had wanted me to be this hot He would have made me Black, the better to radiate heat. :(

But that's ok, I'm now black on the inside, thanks to my favourite brew. :D

More came. Just had another Thunderstorm with a downpour. Seems like this summer we are getting more than the previous summers. At least that is normal for Southern Ontario.
