My torrents are slow
someone told be because i have a router i have to do something called port forwarding?
can someone explain this to me

Simple enough.
Routers have built in firewalls to protect you and you need to open a hole (port) in it for your torrents to get through.
We need to know what router you have to tell you how.

Adam, do a search in this forum for port forward... you'll find the link posted... a few times already ;)
It'll take you to a list of all the different routers and how to port forward on them :)

After you did that you did tell your bittorrent client to use those ports you set right?
ABC (my torrent client) was on 10000 i think
and i forwarded the client to that port
right?
