Get your mind out of the gutter :D

I'm talking about butter or things made with butter.
Well, it's that time of year again.

I was wondering what interesting fare will be made by my friends here at TCM.

One thing we like to make is pancakes. Big deal, right?
Well, they taste great if you use egg nogg in the batter instead of milk.

So what do you make?
Cheers

How about French toast with vanilla and cinnamon? The best treat is a Dolly bar, which is basically Graham crackers covered with sliced almonds and a butter toffee. There is nothing better.

I'm starting to sound like forrest gump....

Anyway, like I was sayin', egg nogg is the fruit of the cow. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, egg nogg-kabobs, egg nogg creole, egg nogg gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple egg nogg, lemon egg nogg, coconut egg nogg, pepper egg nogg, egg nogg soup, egg nogg stew, egg nogg salad, egg nogg and potatoes, egg nogg burger, egg nogg sandwich. That- that's about it.

lol @ Ottawaman...my 2 cents...we use the left over eggnog and make pie...like banana cream...except we use up the eggnog where milk is required...delish.

Shortbread's...Dr. Dan's recipe has been a big hit here...8 batches made so far

Christmas Eve dinner is multicultural, so you will find baklava, spinach breads, stuffed grape leaves, tourtiere...all laden with the yellow gold.

Christmas morning is never the same without Eggs Benedict...hollandaise sauce just wouldn't be the same without the 1/2 cup of butter:p

Have a great feast everyone. :)

...and yes we are walking cholesterol nightmares for a few days...but then back to basics;)
